Captain Morgan Rum Distillery and Barrel Warehouse – U.S. Virgin Islands

CDR Maguire was contracted by Diageo USVI to provide environmental permitting services for the construction of the $265 million state-of-the-art LEED-certified Captain Morgan Rum Distillery and Barrel warehouse located at St. Croix Renaissance Park and Port St. Croix on the southern coast of St. Croix, U. S. Virgin Islands. Permitting services included: Environmental Assessment Report-Coastal Zone Management (CZM), Major Land and Water Permit – Department of Planning and Natural Resources (DPNR)/CZM, Major Earth Change Permit – DPNR Warehouse, Terminal License Application, Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans (Distillery and Warehouse), Spill Prevention, Control, and Countermeasure (SPCC) Plan, Facility Response Plan, Federal Aviation Administration Coordination, Territorial Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (Construction, Industrial and Brush Clearing).

Additional services required for permit support included: Endangered species and wetland resources inventories, Dock Inspection Report, Drainage Calculation Review, Traffic Study, ASTM Phase I Site Environmental Site Assessment.
