CDR Maguire Engineering provided Project Management and Administration services to the City of Pittsburgh to oversee the replacement of the city’s historic “Greenfield” Bridge, which connects the neighborhood of Greenfield to Schenley Park.

The aging bridge was demolished and a new $15.5M bridge was constructed in its place. The new bridge was designed to preserve the historic appearance of the concrete-arch bridge and features a new sidewalk and bike lanes. The project required intermittent closures of the heavily traveled Parkway East.

CDR Maguire Engineering worked with the City and PennDOT to help complete this high-profile, complex project by providing design and construction assistance. Reopened in fall 2017, the new Greenfield Bridge won several awards for excellence in bridge design and construction.
