Lehigh, Northampton and Carbon Counties, PA
The Delaware and Lehigh Trail (D&L Trail) forms the spine of a large regional trail network associated with and supported by The Delaware & Lehigh National and State Heritage Corridor. When completed, the D&L Trail will span five counties, for an overall length of approximately 180 miles, much of it in the Delaware Canal and Lehigh Gorge State Parks. To date, our company has completed the survey, plan preparation and environmental services (NEPA documentation) required for acquisition of approximately 38 miles of trail corridor from Norfolk-Southern (formerly Conrail) in Lehigh, Carbon and Luzerne Counties. Acquisition funds were provided through the Federal Transportation Enhancement (TEA) Program. Consequently, all environmental studies, field surveying, mapping, and plan preparation were performed in accordance with PennDOT design policies and procedures.
