CDR Maguire Engineering completed the final design for two bridges over the West Branch Lackawaxen River in Wayne County that were damaged by severe flooding in Northern Pennsylvania in June 2006. Both bridge replacements were managed by PennDOT District 4-0 as part of the District’s Design/Build Emergency Flood Projects program. SR 0170 (67-ft. span) and SR 0247 (102-ft. span) involved the design of prestressed concrete box beam structures. CDR Maguire also prepared permits for both structures. We completed the accelerated design phase for both emergency replacements in less than four months.
