Stonycreek River Bridge Replacement

Hooversville Borough, Somerset County, PA

Our company was engaged to undertake the replacement and re-alignment of an existing 166-foot, two-span, steel, through-girder bridge carrying two lanes on SR 4021 across Stonycreek River. The new 157-foot, three-span, pre-stressed concrete, spread box beam bridge is constructed on a new alignment. This new alignment improves sight distance and roadway geometry, and enabled partial width construction while maintaining traffic across the existing structure. Engineering and environmental services included field surveying, preliminary and final bridge and roadway design, Right-of-Way Plans, utility coordination and construction services. The Let Date for the project was met. No design related change orders were required on the project.
