With over 85 years of experience in bridge design, CDR Maguire Engineering has performed the full range of structural projects from long-span bridges to culverts, and from multi-million-dollar interstate bridge designs to railroad structures and shoring.
We use the latest bridge software to facilitate our designs including Bentley Leap Steel and Concrete, MDX, AASHTOWare® Design and Rating software, PennDOT structural software, STAAD, LPile, and RC Pier. We use both AutoCAD and MicroStation.
CDR Maguire Engineering has been at the forefront of Accelerated Bridge Construction from MassDOT’s and RIDOT’s first heavy-lift bridge replacements to PennDOT’s first multi-span continuous ABC bridge replacement. Our ABC experience includes heavy lift, SPMT moves, prefabricated bridge units, precast deck panels, and more.
We provide contractor construction services including excavation support, temporary shoring, temporary utility support, underdeck shielding, and development of shop drawings. Our experience working directly for contractors gives us their perspectives and helps us design for constructability in our other work.
CDR Maguire Engineering offers both Preliminary Design/Build services for owners and Final Design/Build services for contractors. We have performed Designs/Builds under shortened durations in emergency situations.
